JOB SUMMARY: 

The R2R Department Internship at Caesars Entertainment offers an opportunity for aspiring accounting professionals to gain practical experience in a dynamic shared service accounting environment. As an intern, you will collaborate closely with our team members, primarily focusing on shadowing and learning the month-end closing and account reconciliation cycles within the Treasury, Liabilities, Accounts Receivable, Prepaid, and Payroll Accounting teams. This role is designed to provide practical experience and exposure to various accounting processes within a shared services context, while contributing to the team's efficiency and effectiveness.

INTERNSHIP SUMMARY

  • Introduction to companys org structure, shared service concept, and accounting team
  • Overview of companys accounting policies, procedures, and software
  • Collaborate with team members to learn and assist in the month-end closing procedures including creating journal entries for accruals, amortizations, and other routine adjustments.
  • Collaborate with team members to learn and assist in the account reconciliation process within the various R2R teams.
  • Gain experience with Oracle Could ERP software for general ledger and account reconciliations.
  • Introduction to the management reporting process, including generating financials statements and variance analysis
  • Engage in special project of identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies in existing accounting processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (enrolled in an accredited program).
  • Demonstrate a sincere interest in accounting and finance.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
